Crystal Dynamics' jump into the 3D platformer arms race that Mario 64 kicked off, with Dana Gould's pop-culture one-liners doing most of the heavy lifting. The N64 port arrived a year after the PS1 original and runs noticeably rougher, which is why PS1 tends to be the preferred version even though the cart is harder to come by.
