The PlayStation debut of Namco's Ace Combat franchise, released in Japan and the West under the Air Combat name. Arcade-style jet dogfighting with mission-based sorties and a then-impressive sense of speed and altitude that set the template for the long-running series. A common early PS1 title, but notable as the root of a major Namco line.
